Angela Nickel

Angela is an entrepreneurial force with over three decades of experience shaping the digital finance landscape. As the CEO, Founder, and Chief Strategist of COMO Group, she has pioneered radical innovations in transaction finance, payments, and e-commerce, transforming industries across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. From developing groundbreaking digital technologies to commercializing solutions that redefine industries, Angela’s journey has been one of relentless innovation and bold vision.

In addition to her leadership at COMO, Angela serves as Vice-Chair of the Executive Board and Chairperson of the Digital Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Luxembourg. In this role, she plays a vital part in advancing digitalization and fostering a progressive tech environment. Her remarkable contributions to the industry were honored when she was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" at the 2019 ICT Awards.

Okan Yener

A highly experienced operating executive with over 15 years of experience across regulated banking and global advisory. Okan combines deep regulatory fluency across the European Central Bank, the European Banking Authority, and the CSSF with a builder's instinct for operating models that scale without breaking.

At HSBC Luxembourg, he built and ran the Chief Operating Officer function for Commercial and Institutional Banking from inception, designing the controls, governance, and service architecture that supported substantial growth in revenue and clients across a multi-regional delivery footprint. Earlier at HSBC Istanbul, he led digital transformation and Global Standards programs for wholesale banking, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he spent four years across strategy, operations, and risk assurance for financial services clients.

Now Chief Operating Officer and Authorized Manager of COMO DL S.A., Okan combines C-suite operator discipline, multilingual reach, and the experience of building from inception under regulatory scrutiny to anchor COMO's operating function.

Uwe Nickel

Driven by boundless curiosity, Uwe Nickel first opened a Commodore 64 at age eight to understand how it worked. Now, 40 years later, he is the Chief Technology Officer at COMO Digital Life, where he designs cloud-native systems that support multi-currency IBAN accounts, instant cross-border payments, AI-driven compliance, and real-time reconciliation. His focus on code structure and system resilience ensures that COMO processes high-value transactions with financial-grade fault tolerance.

Before COMO, Uwe worked on innovative projects for major clients like SAP, BMW Group, and Allianz AG, including re-platforming global ERP systems and designing low-latency payment hubs that handle billions daily.

At COMO, he uses this wealth of experience to provide corporations with frictionless financial infrastructure, previously available only to tier-one financial institutions, while ensuring regulatory compliance and developer satisfaction. Based in Luxembourg and collaborating globally, Uwe continues to innovate, driving COMO Digital Life’s mission to redefine embedded finance.

Damien Lepinoy

Damien brings deep experience in product transformation, regulated infrastructure, and banking operations across custody, cash operations, reconciliation, and core-platform migration. He combines the engineering discipline of a transformation operator with the practical fluency of someone who has rebuilt critical financial infrastructure from the inside.

Before joining COMO, Damien served as Senior Vice President and Head of Custody Transformation at European Depositary Bank, part of Apex Group, where he co-led the migration to the Olympic core platform and re-engineered custody operations across two jurisdictions. Earlier, he held senior operational and reconciliation leadership roles at China Everbright Bank Luxembourg, China Construction Bank Luxembourg, and RBS Global Banking Luxembourg, with career roots at RBC Dexia.

At COMO, Damien owns the product roadmap and the transformation portfolio connecting technology, compliance, and finance. As Head of Product and Transformation, he is building the product layer behind COMO’s regulated platform.

Erik Wilgenhof Plante

Erik boasts over 25 years of extensive experience spanning the financial services and fintech sectors. His career began at renowned institutions like ABN AMRO and Commerzbank, laying a solid foundation in banking. Subsequently, he contributed to innovative ventures at BEQUANT, a leading Digital Assets Exchange, as well as at PayPal, Pingpong, and 3SMoney, showcasing his adaptability across various financial platforms.

Deeply passionate about fostering trust within the financial industry, Erik uniquely combines hands-on regulatory expertise with a visionary outlook on technological advancements. His focus areas include pioneering solutions in AI, enhancing COMO’s enterprise-grade risk management frameworks, strengthening governance processes, and ensuring audit readiness, all aimed at building a more secure and transparent financial ecosystem.

Ana Pinzaru

A distinguished compliance expert, COMO’s Chief Compliance Officer specializes in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. With over 20 years of experience achieving outstanding results in the complex world of regulatory compliance, her extensive background provides her with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in compliance frameworks, risk management, and corporate governance.

Before joining COMO, she gained her expertise at Société Générale Moldavia, where she played a key role in developing and implementing compliance processes that improved the organization’s adherence to international regulations.

David Tetruashvili

David is an experienced finance executive with 20 years of industry experience across operational finance, management consulting, and corporate finance. His expertise spans strategic financial management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate reporting, the implementation of core finance and accounting processes, and the development of high-performing teams.

Before joining COMO, David worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young and served as Chief Financial Officer of several large enterprises, including SMART Holding and APEX Management in Kyiv and London.

Robert Zimmermann

Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Campus Caprea Media, Robert has helped companies enhance their corporate communications, employer branding, and content marketing by delivering comprehensive creative work across video and digital platforms.

At COMO Digital Life, he will leverage his expertise to lead brand strategy and creative execution across diverse channels, emphasizing innovative digital experiences. Applying a filmmaker’s eye for storytelling, Robert aims to clearly express our Bauhaus-inspired, client-focused vision while fostering a dynamic digital ecosystem that reflects COMO Digital Life’s commitment to pioneering technology and immersive digital solutions.

Christian Bamberger is a former co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of PAY.ON, bringing over 25 years of experience in IT and Fintech businesses to the company. He is also actively involved as an investor and advisor in fintech, insurtech, and POS companies and serves as a limited partner in multiple funds.

Christian's expertise lies in creating long-lasting value and collaborating with entrepreneurs seeking growth through organic and inorganic strategies. He has been invested in COMO Group since 2020 and joined the team as a director, demonstrating his commitment to supporting innovative ventures within the industry. Christian's extensive background and involvement across a wide range of sectors make him a valuable contributor to the advancement of the field.

Dr. François Masquelier is the Chairman of the Association of Corporate Treasurers of Luxembourg (ATEL) and the Honorary Chairman of the European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT).

With a strong educational background—holding a Doctorate in Tax Law, a degree in Economy and Administration from the University of Liège, and an Executive Master in Management from Solvay Business School—he brings a distinguished reputation and considerable experience in the field to COMO.

His expertise significantly enhances our governance and strategic capabilities. Dr. Masquelier's commitment to excellence in corporate treasury and finance positions him as a vital asset in advancing innovative initiatives within the organization.

Mario Zardoni is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in financial services and risk management. With his notable tenure at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), where he specialized in prudential supervision and risk management of investment funds, Mario honed his skills and understanding of regulatory compliance to the highest standards.

Before his tenure at the CSSF, he held pivotal roles at renowned financial institutions, including RBS (Luxembourg) S.A., Swedbank Management Company S.A., and Eurizon Capital S.A., all of which enriched his experience and solidified his reputation as a trusted expert in the field.

His extensive tenure in these domains has made him an authority in handling international transactions, where his in-depth understanding of conventional and unconventional transaction structures set him apart.

Dr. Manuel's invaluable expertise stems from his ability to navigate the intricate world of corporate law and banking. He gained specific legal knowledge and adherence to Fintech and Banking regulations in accordance with the CSSF, making him a trusted advisor for clients engaged in complex and high-stakes financial dealings.

Eric H. Fang

Eric H. Fang brings more than 30 years of leadership in cross-border investment, technology commercialization, and industrial cooperation across the United States, China, and the Middle East. He is Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Sinoaccess Group, a US and China based strategic advisory and investment firm, and CEO of Skytower Group and Atlas Renewable LLC.

He serves on the Board of Advisors of the George H.W. Bush Foundation for US-China Relations and the Strategic Advisory Board of Energy Vault (NYSE: NRGV), and holds a standing board role with the Energy Investment Professional Committee of the China Investment Association. In 2022 he facilitated a USD 100 million cross-border investment into Energy Vault, including a pre-IPO investment ahead of its public listing. As Chairman of the COMO China Advisory Council, he guides COMO’s engagement with Chinese and Middle Eastern capital and industrial partners.

Chun Min

Chun Min brings more than 20 years in capital markets, corporate finance, and cross-border investment, and has advised leading enterprises on international expansion into the United States, Saudi Arabia, and beyond. As Chief Financial Officer of Skytower Group, she leads project finance, investment structuring, and mergers and acquisitions across a global industrial and infrastructure portfolio.

She serves in the Expert Group for Overseas Operations under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), advising on international industrial cooperation and outbound investment. She holds degrees in finance and accounting from Xiamen University and completed executive management studies at the Harvard Kennedy School. On the council she focuses on capital formation and transaction structuring for COMO’s cross-border corridors.

Sunny Fu brings more than 22 years in project and program management and international business development between China and global markets. As Director of Project Management at Skytower Group, she leads manufacturing localization, international investment projects, and cross-border partnerships across the United States, Saudi Arabia, and China.

She has directed market-entry programs for multinational and Fortune 500 companies across healthcare, environmental technology, advanced manufacturing, and information technology, coordinating cross-functional teams, partner networks, and government stakeholders. On the council she focuses on the operational execution and delivery of COMO’s China market initiatives.

Xavier Adsera

Xavier Adsera is a prominent figure in the world of finance and entrepreneurship. His distinguished career showcases a remarkable blend of innovation and leadership. Notably, he founded Adequita Capital, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify and nurture investment opportunities. His co-founding of an investment bank in Spain underlines his commitment to expanding financial horizons and fostering growth in the industry.

Xavier has served as the CEO of a UK-based private equity firm. He holds several leadership roles in addition to his work at Adequita, including CEO of UVentures, Chairman of the Board of Dakia Digital, and Board member of Alder Fuels and Oxford Leadership.
