Role Overview
As a full-time remote User Interface Designer at COMO, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly designs for digital banking and payment solutions. The day-to-day tasks include creating low fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, responsive prototypes, mockups, collaborating with content creators, front-end developers, and optimizing user experience (UX) through effective user interface design.
Key Responsibilities
User Experience Design: Develop intuitive user experiences for COMO's digital products and platforms, ensuring they meet the needs and preferences of target audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into user-centric designs.
User Interface Design: Create visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces that align with COMO’s brand identity and enhance usability. Utilize design principles, typography, color theory, and iconography to craft aesthetically pleasing and accessible interfaces.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Produce wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users. Iterate designs based on feedback to optimize usability and functionality.
Design System Development: Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system that includes components, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across COMO’s digital products. Collaborate with developers to implement design system elements effectively.
Responsive Design Implementation: Design responsive interfaces that adapt seamlessly to various screen sizes and devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. Ensure optimal user experiences across different platforms and devices.
Accessibility Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and best practices, making digital products accessible to users with disabilities. Conduct accessibility audits and implement remediation strategies as needed.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align design efforts with business objectives and project timelines. Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders and solicit feedback to drive design decisions.
AI-Driven Design Mindset: Demonstrate strong familiarity with AI tools (such as Figma AI features, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Lovable, Uizard, etc.) and a proactive approach to integrating them into the design process. Leverage AI to accelerate workflows, enhance creativity, and deliver high-quality outputs more efficiently. Stay curious and up-to-date with emerging AI technologies shaping the future of UX/UI.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience with User Interface (UI) Design and User Experience (UX) principles, preferably in a corporate B2B environment.
High familiarity and comfort using AI tools in your design process.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects and design solutions.
Strong proficiency in Figma (including use of variables, components, and design systems) and Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience designing for multiple screen sizes and devices.
Fluent and excellent in English; additional languages are always a plus.
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, present work confidently to stakeholders, and contribute to strategic discussions.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote setting.
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and tight deadlines. Flexibility to embrace change and iterate on designs based on feedback, shifting requirements, and emerging technologies.
Nice to have
Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Previous experience in fintech, B2B SaaS, or enterprise platforms.
Familiarity with design token implementation.
Experience designing for dashboards or complex data-heavy interfaces.
